Charity Pancake Races were the order of the day on Tuesday as Horsham Rotary showcased once again their many talents by putting on this event in the Carfax.

A huge thank you from Horsham Rotary Club to everybody who participated in Horsham’s 6th Pancake Races yesterday and all of the other activities…and everybody who helped create the event, run the event and make it a great fun day in spite of the weather…special mentions to Dave Benson Phillips for being a fantastic host..commentator.. and just great all round good guy and friend; Geoff and all of the Mascots and of course the Children’s Trust Charity in Dorking who organise the Mascots across the UK ; Horsham District Council especially Garry, Shannon and Julie for all their help; Sugar and Snow for their crepes and support; AGE-UK for their arts activities; and especially the members of the Public who watched it all happen !! Congratulations to the Winning Team from Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre ( who also won in 2013) ; the Winning Charity Team from the Amber Foundation( who also won in 2010) ; the Best Fancy Dress Team from the Dame Vera Lynn Trust ; and the winning over 40’s Team from the South East Hearing Centre. Lastly thanks to all the marvelous sponsors… Ringway for the Barriers and Signage; Sainsburys for the Pancakes, Lemons and Sugar; Waitrose, South East Hearing Centre, and the Non Stop Party Shops for the Cups and Medals.
