Horsham Rotary ~ Giraffe Trail.
Photographing Giraffes this week…. was a most unusual and totally rewarding shoot for me – no I did not head off to Kenya, but rather Horsham town centre….. I do hope you will enjoy this little film I made. Below is information related to this dynamic project, that is bringing together the local community, schools, business and charities alike.
” the Horsham Giraffe Trail is organised by the Rotary Club of Horsham in conjunction with Horsham District Council and Horsham Unlimited and has brought together over 100 local and national – but with local links – companies, charities, community groups, schools and colleges to sponsor and decorate giraffes in any way that expresses their aims and aspirations or artistic creativity.
The decorated giraffes have all been named and have formed a competition trail around the town for a two week period over the half term providing a fun, interactive and inclusive attraction for families and individuals.
The giraffes will be auctioned after the trail has finished with the charities benefiting directly from the sale and money raised through the trail, we hope that as well as raising money for charity and providing a memorable experience, the scheme will also raise the profile of the organisations involved and Horsham itself, help foster a spirit of community, draw people into the town increasing footfall and revenue. “
