Kat & Mike – Wedding day at Fitzleroi Barn
Fitzleroi Barn was the setting for this weekends wedding of Kat & Mike. After meeting and photographing them down in Brighton a few weeks ago, their wedding was always going to be wonderful and different, and that cetainly was the case. After leaving the house in the morning the Bride & family travelled to the Barn meeting up with the immediate family, Bestmen ( there were two) and of course the Groom! We had a short while to take some exciting wedding portraits in the fields behind the Barn before the rest of the daytime guests arrived. I am sure you will be able to see all the love and the joy of the day in these images. Then after a drinks reception they had the wedding meal. The Barn was filled with vibrant colours and personal little gifts for each of the guests of little honey pots. The speeches were amzing, and after the meal and the evening guests had arrive we had the actual ceremony. Yes it was a different way around than normal, but you know what – it worked! Then came the evenings dancing and merriment. Even the weather favoured us. I hope you will enjoy looking at these photographs, of a couple that are so very much in love and care deeply about their family and friends.

This is the moment that Kat’s Dad saw his beautiful daughter all ready for her wedding day!
Kat and her Mum Fran have the sort of relationship all mother’s and daughters dream of, and I hope I have caught that emotion in this picture.
So as I said in the intro, the Groom and his Bestmen waited for the Bride and family to arrive, Just how pleased was Mike to see his bride…….?
This couple are so very much in love and this spontaneous greeting was picture perfect!
A portrait of Mike with his beautiful bride, now & forever together.
The Bestmen and the Bridesmaids were so wonderful to work with.
Did a mention they were lots of fun too????
What an amazing setting and a fantastic couple….
Yes we all agree……..they love and adore each other…… Kat & Mike can’t stop showing each other, and I guess thats worth shouting about, see the bridal party in the background!
The Bride & Groom with their parents.
I just loved this shot of Mike’s Grandad, steeling a hug & a kiss off Kat.
Now it seems at every family event the cousins and now their partners get together for a group photo – now thats tradition!
The Barn looked stunning as everyone settled down for the wedding breakfast.
The Groom was first up for the speeches…..
Then the dynamic duo…the two Bestmen. They started with a song they had written themselves, about a Woolley…….
……and there were a few verses I could not repeat…( but they were very amusing…)
How wonderful to have such a great speech, and to enjoy it Like Kat & Mike did.
After the meal and the speeches came the actual Ceremony. Dad walked Kat down the aisle towards her Groom…….
……and he and his bestmen serenaded her to another original song……..
Time to give the bride away…. You’re not loosing a daughter Dad, you are gaining a son…..!
Mike’s Aunty took the ceremony for them and friends did a couple of readings.
The vows…….
And now they are married……
….and to the dance floor.
One last thing before I go – throwing the bouquet, now every single girl, and a few guys, wants to catch the flowers and win their man over with this lucky tradition.
….a bit shocked perhaps, but they seemed pleased…lol!
And so we end a perfect day, walking off into the sunset and their future. I wish you all the love and luck in the world guys!
Thoughts from southwest France……we are friends of the family, Kat and Mike’s photos are stunning. So very different from the norm. The emotions of the day came through perfectly.Well done!
